All we ask for is a gold coin donation for our charity partners Oscars 100 – an organisation committed to improving the lives of children living with Autism.

Join us every a Thursday evening for alternating Tempo/Time Trials/Speed work on the track. EVERYONE WELCOME!

FRIDAY – 6:15am – Lilydale Lake & Mt Evelyn Athletics Track (alternating)

Not for the faint-hearted – this morning session finds our Squad running the hills before breakfast! With hill repeats, hill loops and hill running technique as the focus, Friday mornings are a sure way to develop gluteal strength and power, to improve speed and stamina on the flat. Flat running options are always available.

SATURDAY – 8am – Lilydale Lake in conjunction with Parkrun

Saturday morning sessions are a free, in-coached, social run for all and sundry. Bring along friends and family, ride the bike, push the pram or walk/run the dog around the lake, participate in Parkrun or head out along the meandering Olinda Creek or Warburton Trails. Gen Runners training for distance events often use this session as part of their long run, with a social catch up for breakfast at a local café to follow.

With the current COVID-19 situation and regulations placed on social gathering, Gen Run Squad group and private training is currently ‘on-hold’ until further notice.

We are however, very active on our social media sites and encourage you all to partake in our Virtual Zoom Strength Sessions which are open to all and FREE several times a week.

Please feel free to contact us for further information at this time. We are still available to assist with running programs, session setting, and strength improvement.

Stay happy and healthy and ‘Keep Running’!

Hi I am wondering if I am able to come along and try out a session and how I go about it.
I would only be able to get to 1-2 sessions per week.

    Thanks Rachel.

Hi Bec/Steve i came along to your easter night at croydon and have been running for aboit a year now with no coaching. I feel like i have hit a wall in need of some advice as im going to do two halfs and a full marathon bu the end of the year. I work shift work and cant always make certain days every week. Is it possible to work out a training plan if i can get to one of your meetings and i can sign up with a casual pass at this stage with a view to try and make 1 to 2 classes a week. Also how long are you classes on average or do they differ. I just want to know if i could make a 7am start at work after a class. I just work main street lilydale. Regards Andrew.

I’m a local to the area but work in the city. Not sure how many sessions I’ll be able to make, what time do the morning sessions finish roughly?

Also what are the costs involved?

I’m still pretty new to running, just coming back from a bad ankle injury and building my fitness back up. Are all levels of fitness welcome at each session?

    Thanks Naomi

Can you please tell me what the membership costs are? Or do you pay per session?

    Hi there,
I am keen to get into jogging but need to learn the correct breathing/pace ratio as I find I get too out of breath too quickly.
I am wondering if the Tuesday session as Lilydale Lake would be suitable for me? What is the cost involved for this session and approximately how long does the session go for?
Would the Thursday night session also be suitable for me? Approximately how long does this session go for?
    Kind Regards, Dee

    • Hi Deanna and thank you for your inquiry. We can most definitely assist you with your running and breathing! Either of these sessions would be absolutely perfect for you and we encourage you to come along for a FREE TRIAL and to meet us all when it suits you, before making any commitment. The sessions all run for one hour, including warm-up and cool-down. We have a vast range of runners, all varying in ages and abilities, all sessions are fully coached and we are not intimidating at all. You will, I have no doubt, fit right on in!

Hello, I have a 9 year old daughter, Scarlett, who’s interested in a trial. She’d like some fun training for upcoming school cross country events.
I understand from friends that wed at 4.15 would be appropriate?

    • Hi Linda! Gen Run Junior would be PERFECT for Scarlett’s cross-country training in a fun and friendly, non-competitive environment. Please bring her along on Wednesday for a free trial! Kind Regards, Bec

Hi I have 2 boys who are 9 and 11
They are very sporty and I feel they need help in running techniques so they reduce injuries and don’t waste energy on poor technique
Which session(s) would you recommend (perhaps Wednesday 4.15pm) and cost please
I have several other children from basketball and football that are also interested in learning to run with better technique
    Thanks very much

    • Hi Adam,
Thank you so much for your enquiry regarding some running technique training for your boys, and others from their sporting teams. I shall send you an email with further details and am keen to get the ball rolling for these keen youngsters!
      Kind Regards,
      Bec Rosel
